DCSC-M-7 fume collector is designed for work at temporary and stationary workplaces in mechanical workshops, industrial factories, laboratories and educational organizations.
Due to increased productivity, DCSC-M-7 is irreplaceable for processes with heavy fumes emission.
Operation principles
The principle of operation of filtered units is based on local capture of polluted air through the lifting and traversing device BEA, three-staged purification of air from harmful substances, and return of the clean air to the production area.

Design

Filtration system

Air-dust flow, under the action of exhaustion created by built-in fan, is sucked in through an intake nozzle of extraction arm. The contaminated air passes the baffle screen which distributes equally the flow. Then the air goes through the filter cartridge material, small contaminants accumulate on its surface and purified air is returned into the premises either through exhaust lattice (item 3) in the upper part of extractor or through activated carbon filter (as an option; instead of exhaust lattice). Carbon filter captures odors and toxic gases emitted by some types of welding.
During operation dust layer on the cartridge surface increases, which leads to resistance increase and as a result to a regeneration (further – self-cleaning) necessity.
Dusted cartridge is cleaned by automated compressed air backflow. A controller with built-in ΔP-function (item 10) operates self-cleaning process. The controller determines pressure difference (ΔP) between contaminated and clean chambers by built-in electronic differential manometer.
Upon reaching the certain ΔР values, cartridge self-cleaning starts. During the process, the accumulated on the surface particles are detached and fall into a dustbin (item 6).
Compressed air is supplied to DCSC-M-7-x either by external compressor or through local network, where the operator connects flexible pneumatic hose (not included in delivery set) to pressure-regulating filter, which is located on the back wall of an extractor (item 14 on picture 1).
In DCSC-M-7-xK model compressed air is supplied by pre-installed air tubing, which connects oil-free compressor and pressure-regulating filter, which is located on the back wall of an extractor (item 14 on picture 1).
Pressure-regulating filter is included into delivery set of all DCSC-M-7 models and technically is an oil-water separator with a pressure reducer and manometer. Filter adjuster is designed to protect cartridge from oil and water particles and to set 5–5.5 bar pressure, which provides for maximum efficiency and long service life of DCSC-M-7 pneumatic cleaning system.

Equel distribution of compressed air across all cartridge inner surface is achieved by each of two cleaning principles:
- pulse with cowl insert (DCSC-M-7-P models);
- rotating (rotary) frame with nozzles (DCSC-M-7-R models).

Extraction arms are to be ordered separately.
Most frequently DCSC-M-7 filters are used with 2 and 3 m BEA extraction arms. They may have a lighting, which is on its nozzle.
